Dead battery and can't open trunks.

you can either crawl under the front of the car to "fish" open the hood release OR apply 12v from a jump box for enough power to electrically open the hood latch. neither is advised for the do-it-yourselfer

I bought a trickle charger/jump starter from Walmart and charged the battery through the lighter. After some time, had enough power to open hood latch. The problem only occurs when the remote locking is used.
