Your Cruise Control is linked to your Brake Lights. For example, if you hit your Brake Pedal, the Cruise Control is supposed to go off. So if you have a problem with your Brake Lights in just about any way it will effect your Cruise Control operation. I would get your Brake Lights properly repaired because some one could accidentally rear end you! Good Luck!
