Crank no start checked timing chain it looks good, no compression, what else ?

Girlfriend days she was driving and the car started smoking. she Had someone change water pump and now u Hear a humming when u turn the key. He said it was starter but I had it tested and it passed Crank but no start. Engine turns but doesn't start up. No compression. Hooked up obd reader and came back with tons of codes that I've already tried researching and finding solutions for. Checked timing chain and it looks good. What else could it be?
