Could breaking the factory ignition to get it out cause electrical problems?

Had to change out ignition switch cause lost key now it won't start and delays are clicking .instrument panel going crazy and voltage drop on battery to 3V then jumps all over and starter just clicks

What makes this problem better or worse?
