In many cases, customers may believe they need a transmission replacement, when the problem is actually a simple fix, or not mechanically related to the transmission. Transmissions are controlled by small, powerful computers, and those computers (transmission control modules) can fail, as well as the connections between the TCM and the various components of the transmission. It is possible to check for diagnostic costs with our estimator, but until a diagnosis is proven, the solution cannot be billed. This protects the customer and the repair facility.
