coolant temp gauge is pegged out

What is your question?

I replaced the thermostat because temp gauge is maxed out. New anti-freeze and still maxed out. I can't locate the sensor. I'm thinking it may be close to the thermostat which is located from the bottom radiator hose. Can anyone help ?
