coolant tank cracked, i sealed temporarly but now the car knocks when running

Since its too difficult to tell what the cause is behind the engine knock, I would recommend you have your car towed to the repair facility to prevent major engine damage.

Agree with you Tyreguy. If you overheated the engine, then you likely have done some serious damage, but an inspection will determine that.
