There is a coolant leak thats coming from a hole on the top of the throttle body. There is also a round metal plug that came out of the hole. Any suggestions?

there are 2 coolant lines running to the throttle body and they serve as an intake air warmer for colder climates. You can bypass this by connecting the 2 hoses together to keep the flow going but not through the throttle body. A piece of metal tubing and a couple of clamps will do it. The plug that came out is the cap for where the coolant passages are drilled. It can be replaced if you can find the right size to tap in there. John Miller Freedom Automotive Auto Mojo Radio
Thank you Mr. Miller. I live in Houston, TX and the bypass to the throttle body would be a great idea. I need to make sure I bypass the correct two hoses. Finally, the plug just popped out and is still on the top of the throttle body. Can I just reuse that one or did the heat and time damage it? It looks alright. Again, thank you for your comment.
If it popped out it probably will not go in tight enough to seal against the pressure of the cooling system. You will know if you have the right 2 hoses as each will have coolant in them. They are about an inch in diameter and connect to the throttle body.
