What is your question?
I have 2005 Volvo 2.5 turbo , it's been stalling out, sometimes hard to start Today the words REDUCED ENGINE PERFORMANCE appeared on the dash message center ,so I took the car down to advance auto and the code PO727 saying wheel speed sensor came up , can a wheel speed sensor cause it to stall out? Or at times be hard to start? Advance had the wheel speed sensor for $32.00 Is it expensive to have sensor installed ?

The wheel speed sensor has nothing to do with it, that's just coincidental, and that may just be a wiring issue. The reduced engine performance warning could indicate a variety of things, all serious, like a worn out turbo, low compression, burned valves, etc. It may also be that it just needs some a tune up. It is a problem that has to be diagnosed.
thank you for speedy response, i recently had timing belt done, and the shop had hard time setting the vvt,so it could need timing belt taken out and re set.....from researching i have learned that stalling out is common when vvt and or timimg belt is not set properly
That would also explain it. I would cringe when I heard a shop say they had a "hard time" with anything other than rusty bolts. They're supposed to know what they're doing.
yes, the mechanic admited he was having trouble setting vvt and belt because he said 2.5 turbo is a bit difficult to do, so im making a appointment with volvo shop, they say will will probally pay for timing belt job minus the parts? do they have equiptment at dealership volvo shop that tells them if vvt or belt is not set properly?
Yes, Volvo knows how to fix their own cars.
thanks for all your help, ill let you know what the find...appt for monday 1-12-15
the car stop stallin out few days before i took it to the shop, but there was never check engine lite but they did diag for $106.00 found old codes in the system tech said they were deep in past history codes ECM 5000 COULD BE TRIGGERED IN PAST BY MILLION THINGS HE SAID ECM 330B -RPM SENSOR CODE ALSO FOUND THE SOLDER REPAIR MADE TO RPM SENSOR CONNECTOR AND WIRE TO CAM SENSOR WIRE after all there diag, they said they still couldnt pin point the reason for the stalling out last week youger mechanic at dealership said it could simple as one of my filters, gas, air or fuel vvt and timing belt were good according to them
A plugged fuel filter will cause intermittent stalling. If in any doubt, it should be replaced.
I was told by Volvo deAlership that a engine speed sensor without question can and will Bring up reduced engine performance, it causes the speedometerr to not move, puts the vehicle Into what is known as limp mode. Witch often can cause stalling out, but if you Turn engine off and back on it resets , and the speedometer can now move, it does this he says to protect the tranny since the engine speed sensor us having difficulty talking to a few volvo experts, is it true in my understanding that engine speed sensor is same as crank shaft sensor?
