What is your question?
I just bought a 2002 Chrysler sebring LXI and I have a code P0455. And while I was sitting the car shuts off it did this two times since I have bought it. I wanted to know what could this be. And how much will it cost me for repairs. I know the P0455 is a leak with the vac system. I just wanted to know what problems I could be having before I take it in to a shop for them to just start ringing up charges for labor. And could the P0455 have something to do with it shutting off? How would this effective the driving of the car. NEED HELP ASAP!!!!!

What does that mean? This indicates a fuel vapor leak or lack of purge flow in the EVAP control system. It means a large leak has been detected. The (EVAP) emission control system prevents the escape of fuel vapors from a vehicle's fuel system. Fuel vapors are routed by hoses to a charcoal canister for storage. Later, when the engine is running a purge control valve opens allowing intake vacuum to siphon the fuel vapors into the engine. SymptomsYou likely won't notice any drivability problems. CausesA code p0455 most likely means one or more of the following has happened: •A loose or improperly affixed gas cap •A non-conforming gas cap (i.e. not factory/original brand) •Other leak or damaged piece in EVAP system Possible SolutionsWith a p0455, the most common repair is to: •Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the codes, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back. •Otherwise, replace the gas cap, and/or •Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses (you may hear a vacuum noise or smell fuel), repair if necessary I would first do as recommended and remove the gas cap and replace and clear codes and see what happens. If still has probs and cel comes back it will need further inspection. As far as whether the code could cause the dying, that would have to be determined if the gas cap attempt does not work. If you don't have a shop you trust try using one a friend trusts and have them go with you the first time in. Shops want to keep customers so they will bend over backwards to keep you and the existing cust happy. Good luck.
You know it does have to be asked - ARE YOU going 120 or more all of the time? Just had to put it out there -
