I have no idea what the "code" is for the Bose stereo system. Do you know how I can reset it??? I recently bought a used 92 Acura Legend. Now, after fixing a loose battery connection, the Bose stereo system will not work until I put in a "code". Also sometimes the stereo will play sound out of it and then sometimes it will stop making any noise at all. The power will be on... just no sound coming out of it. Have any idea what would cause no sound to come out on a sporadic basis???

If your radio is a factory radio, you need to get the security code from aa Acura dealership. You will have to prove that you own the car. ( registration etc )It is a security code ( usually 4-5 digits ) that prevents a thief from using your radio if they ever steal it from your vehicle.
Many Acura factory radios require the stereo being removed to obtain the chassis number of the stereo before the dealer can give you the security code. There records link security codes with the chassis number of the stereo , not the chassis number of the car unfortunately.
how do u put the code in..I have the code , when I try to put in it says err1
I took mine to Best Buy and the stereo guy fixed it and found the code for me for nothing No charge
