What is your question?
The check engine light and cruise control lights in my 2006 Subaru Impreza keep flashing. The problem occured this morning on my way to work. I'm hoping Subaru can tell me something about this cruise control circuit because the cruise control wouldn't activate after this occurred. The owner's manual said it may be due to my gas cap not being properly tightened after refueling. I've tried that, but the problem persists. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

You disengaged your cruise control by accidentally pushing cruise button while turning car on? To reset put key in lock position and turn to next couple of settings to engage the cruise. This happened to me recently and it took a few times trying, it worked and reset the cruise control. I found the information in manual.
I had the same issue happen a few minutes ago in my Subaru Impreza. However, my car lost acceleration and stranded me in the middle of the road for a few moments. I turned the car off for about 60 seconds, then started and moved it to a parking lot. I let the car sit for a moment, then started it again. The check engine light came on and the cruise light started flashing. I tried the above suggestion and it worked after a couple tries. Both the check engine and cruise lights are off now. Is it safe to drive or do I have a more serious problem?
this worked for me...thanks!
