check engine light on

it was probably a 340 code. ford had issues with that code. replace the dpfe sensor. that should do it if you replaced the cam sensor. Roy

I had the same problem (cam positioner sensor error code) and it was the beginning of my engine giving out. I really like the van but now am faced with whether I should have the engine rebuilt.

did you replace the synchronizer as well? if you did not that could be the culprit.cam sensor failure root causes are usually the synchronizer.the bushings wear out and cause the shaft to wobble and tear up the cam sensor,have done hundreds of these!
