Hello, This is likely an issue with the EVAP system. The EVAP (evaporative emission) system is designed to prevent leakage of evaporated gas into the atmosphere. When a valve leading to the engine fails to close, it acts as a vacuum leak, which is more pronounced after the gas cap has been removed and replaced. Scan for pending trouble codes first, see what issues the PCM has notices, and, if nothing, it is better to have it diagnosed than to try replacing parts.
