What is your question?
I have had my car repaired yet the check engine light is still on. It is my understanding that this light must be reset. How do you go about resetting it?

Who ever did the repair work should have reset the light. You will need a "code reader" or "scan tool" capable of resetting the OBD II computer in order to clear the code. If indeed the problem is corrected the computer will turn the light off itself when the failed system passes the computer checks.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON 7 TIMES, 7 TIMES IT WENT BACK INTO THE SHOP, THEIR IS A MINOR DETAIL THAT THEY HAVE NOT FIXED. THEY NEED TO TEAR APART THE MOTOR.
or you can do what i do and disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect. it will get rid of the error light. but if your car isnt fixed right then it will come back on again
