The answer to your question Jamiken is yes. For a 99 300m u can check your codes without a code reader. Insert key into ignition and turn to position before the starter turns over two clicks. dont engage the starter. then back to off postion. do this 3 times .on digital odometer readout if you have any codes they will be displayed (ex: P1450 etc). You have to turn on and off 3 times pretty fast but not to fast. It may take you a few times to get it right but you will see the codes pop up...cool deal... :) Hope this helps and good luck...
