What is your question?
My check engine light came on yesterday. I do not have a code reader to check the code. Is there a manual way to check what the code is that you would get on your dashboard? Thanks Wayne

No, you need a code reader. You can get one at a auto parts store, pull the code, and search online for a good idea of what might be happening. Or post the code here and we can give you some info.
dude, make sure you know what you are talking about before you answer peoples questions...they could be in a really tight spot and people like you who think they know what they are talking about but dont can really screw up someones day and have them buying parts that they dont need or can afford. The answer to your question Jamiken is yes. For a 99 300m u can check your codes without a code reader. Insert key into ignition and turn to position before the starter turns over two clicks. dont engage the starter. then back to off postion. do this 3 times .on digital odometer readout if you have any codes they will be displayed (ex: P1450 etc). You have to turn on and off 3 times pretty fast but not to fast. It may take you a few times to get it right but you will see the codes pop up...cool deal... :) Hope this helps and good luck... Bret dude know what your talking about
