my 02 civic ex has spart but will not start even if i spray starter fluid in the throatal body, it has a half tank of gas but acts like it is out of gas, it hesatated for a moment then ran fine for a few seconds then cut off and has not started since

Crack open fuel line at fuel rail or on top of fuel filter banjo bolt get a friend to crank over the engine see if you have an adequate supply of fuel. Fuel pump main relay behind dash goes bad, ignition switch electrical part of harness at back of switch goes bad. Does Check Engine light come on when ignition key is turned on (otherwise ECU isn't getting power). Do you have a good voltmeter and a workshop manual. Autozone have some popular workshop manuals for free on line once you register (for free) on their website http://bit.ly/autozone_repair_info or there is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that offer a very reasonable service to do it yourselvers. You can get a one week subscription or year subscription very cheap. The information is year make and model specific repair procedures, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... great quality information same as the professionals have ,much better than generic workshop manuals from parts stores, much cheaper than the factory manual try http://bit.ly/mitchell_repair_manuals_online and get an online repair manual subscription.
