you might want to have the starter checked out. If you have someone who can turn the key to start and you can tap the starter it might start, however the starter will need to be replaced.

Begin by checking all of your fuses and relays. If the starter relay does not function, the starter never gets power. You can jump the relay to test, better yet, listen and feel for it to click when someone tries to start the vehicle.
The relay should be powered only when the key is turned to "Start". If it does not receive power, I would suspect the ignition switch.

Test, test, and test. Replacing parts may eventually lead you to the answer, but at what cost?

Also, look for security warnings. If you have a spare key, try it. Your key may not be allowing the vehicle to start due to anti-theft systems.

To test if the starter relay is getting power from the ignition switch, use a multi-meter set to DC voltage (cheap).

Test the starter and solenoid as well. You may hear a whirring noise from the starter, letting you know the pinion gear on the starter is not contacting the flywheel.

You may be bet off seeing a professional for diagnosis.
