Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It sounds like your 2014 Ford Focus might have an issue with air pockets in the cooling system. When you open the coolant reservoir, the pressure is released, allowing trapped coolant to flow back into the tank. Here’s what to check: -Thermostat: It might be stuck closed, preventing coolant flow. -Cooling System Bleed: Ensure the system is properly bled to remove air pockets. -Water Pump: Check if it’s functioning correctly. -Coolant Leak: Inspect for any leaks that could be causing the system to lose coolant. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it’s best to have a mechanic diagnose the problem. If you have any other questions, please call us at 877-913-1554!
