Car blowing out cold air on driver side, remove actuator and close door so I can only get heat but for some reason the door keep opening and it's still getting cold. Why won't the door stay shut?

Why would the door not stay shut? Some times the car seems to be over heating, would this be because of actuator? I had to put antifreeze in the radiator because of this, is this normal when something is wrong with actuator?

What makes this problem better or worse?
