Hello, There is a process for a soft reset through the STAR diagnostics platform or other professional software, but at home, all you can do is remove the battery cable for a few minutes and reinstall it. This is a hard reset, and can have negative effects, just like hard resetting a PC or Mac, but much more expensive to fix. It sounds like, however, there is an error in communication with the vehicles common network (CAN), and there may be other issues of which you are not currently aware.
