What is your question?
I have an 2009 Mini S. Sometimes when I try to start my Mini, it just will not turn over, battery seems dead. If someone jumps me off, it only takes less than a minute or two to start. I have noticed that this happens when I leave the head lights on automatic. Do I need to just purchase a new battery or could it be something else causing this?
What makes this problem better or worse?
It happens when lights are left in Automatic mode

Hello, If the body control module (BCM) is not turning off the headlights after the scheduled delay, this can happen. This may indicate an issue with the switch, body control module, or even the turn signal switch, if it has issues at other times. You will need to check to see if the headlight switch is powering things like the dash lights or marker lights when the key is off (after the timed delay for the headlights to shut off)
