Can a new alternator impact the transmission?

To get to the alternator usally behind the radiator right side; the mechanic may have removed the transmission lines from the radiator to get to get the alternator out. Check transmission fluid level and transmission lines running to radiator for leaks.

Hi i have a 95 sls had the same problem with a i had the battery no charge and low battery volt message come on ! Did it shut your entire car down ? I have mine in the shop now not sure if it is battery or alternator .
