Brake pedal as being depressed there is a slight bump feeling in the pedal.

at about 30K mile a squeel started like it might be the brake pad indicators, but it has just gotton worse as far as noise, but now there is a slight bump in the pedal when its depressed. could sure use some help if anyone has a clue. Thanks,
