brake light switch, & won't turn over.

Sorry for asking the obvious, but is the battery fully charged? I need to know that before I can tell you much. About the brakelights, maybe the bulbs are burned out from being left on. Give us more information.

Vak, More obvious but necessary thoughts -- can you verify the vehicle is securely in park or neutral? Does the engine crank at all, or does it click, or does it do nothing at all? Do the dash lights change/go off when turning the key to the start position?
