don't run the A/C if the fan isn't working...Possible causes of cooling fan not working: faulty relay, PCM(powertrain control module), ect (engine coolant temperature) sensor, or low coolant level...Over 90% of the time it is due to the contacts sticking in the fan relay. Alot of times you can lightly tap on the top of the relay to get the fan to work. This confirms that it is faulty. You can also try switching it out with another relay.location of coolant temp sensor on the 5.7L is located at the front of the engine just below the compressor.
Thank you. Discovered it is not. Tried to unplug and plug in to no avail. Looked for blown fuse, no luck. Seems I need to replace the fan?
coolant temp sensor turns the fan on and off,no need to replace the fan until you check the switch first.
Ahh. Where is that located?
