my carpet on the passenger side is wet could it be a plugged cabin air filter

If you haven't replaced the cabin filter in the last 10,000 - 15,000 miles you should replaces it, but that is not what the leak is from. You probably have water leaking from the air conditioning system. When it is operating, condensation from the evaporator drains out through a hose and onto the ground under the car. (You will often see a puddle of water under the car if the A/C has been running) You should check the drain hose, it may have come loose or it may be plugged.
I had the problem and itr was a 2 minute fix. Pulled back the carpet in front on pasenger side to rightof console. The drain tube comes thru firewall there and connectconnects to the drain tube to under car, It had come apart. Pushed it together and water is gone. This was a Toyota design flaw!!!! sHOPS CHARE UP TO $350 TO FIX IT WITH A LOT OF JIBBERISH . .. Truth is it is a no cost repair.
Before reconnecting everything, you may want to clear the tubes. Other forums report clogs as an additional source of trouble. Same $$ dx: free. Just takes another few minutes.
