What is your question?
The shop couldn't get hands on my specific. 2012 3.6 HF VVT Impala motor...California Emissions and car was assembled in Canada but intended for the USA. My particular motor is HF or high functioning & has an extra valve of sorts, and so they SAY THEY HAD 4 DIFF 3.6 MOTORS & NONE OF THEM WORKED OUT??? I mean, what exactly? SO, they essentially took apart.motor & Head gaskets all redone & machine shop had Cylinders a good week or so resurfaced/shaped those(im goin by what im told, im no mechanic! AND pry not saying it all correctly ) ...they replaced all gaskets and rings and water pump, radiator main hose, radiator, & I explained to the guy, go ahead and put new part for whatever you think will make it run better? The car overheated. 338,000 miles. Oil leakage all over caked on alternator. Shouldn't he have changed the Alternator?!! It was terribly caked, over heated, battery was even damaged... My car starts hard & all dash lights on??? Abs, stabilitrak, service traction?
What makes this problem better or worse?

How long has your 2012 Chevrolet Impala had this problem?

Hello, there are so many variables at play here that I can hardly weigh in. However, sticking with the electrical system -- yes, if you've had oil get inside your alternator, I can't imagine how it could be functional. Have your charging system tested. If amperage output or voltage is off at 2,000 RPM of engine speed - then replace the alternator and recheck. Your other warning lights may or may not be related to this electrical output -- but you definitely need to start there.
