Just bought vehicle and after 180miles engine light came on. Manual said echiast valves. Car drives fine. Is this an easy fix.
What makes this problem better or worse?

What testing did you perform from the diagnostic trouble codes? "Exhaust Valves"(although not sure what you're planning on doing with them?) are not an easy fix on any car. However, no code nor manual can tell you that you need to do anything with your exhaust valves -- it can only tell you an area to perform testing in to pin point the source of your troubles.
A friend has told me that because I filled up with fuel before my travels it maybe that the cap wasn't put back on correctly leading to air been drawn in. This will highlight the warning light. He told me to screw it back on correctly and give it a few days of driving to see if the light then goes off????
