my passat wagon's engine light came on upon as the car started vibrating in reverse. the vibrating was felt in all gears including neutral. the vibrating was only felt upon accelaration

The vibration should be related to the engine light i would get a diagnostic autozone does this for free, the vibration could be cause by a misfire or broken air line
