Getting a rattling sound from under the hood when A/C is turned on. Otherwise A/C is fine - very cold air.

The noise is probably due to the A/C Compressor operating. When the compressor operates it puts more of a work load on the engine, which can cause vibrations if something is loose or if the compressor is going bad. If the noise is occurring all the time when the A/C is on, then it should be fairly easy to find where it is coming from.

Yes. putting a load on the engine causes more vibration due to the rpm that the engine is running at. Could be a number of things. Judging by what is most common.... check exhaust heat shields towards the front of the vehicle.
