Once that light came on I would imagine there is a trouble code or pending code stored in the memory of the computer in your car indicting where the problem may be. A scan tool is required to retrieve the trouble code. Problems rarely just right themselves, if the light comes on again it's safest to get the computer in your car scanned for codes.
Thank you for your responce, i'm sorry about the mis-spelling, but to say i'm upset is a big deal for me, i just got this car and wanted to keep it till i drop dead, i only have had it for two months. Had car check done and found no problems, one owner also. I do understand there must be a problem, or the light would not go on. I wanted to find out what that "wrench" light means, what work needs to be done and how much of my s.s check its going to take to fix my dream car, and what kind of time are we talking about? I KNOW the dealer thinks the car is just a " unit" to fix, but it means a lot lot more to me. Thanks anywhow.
It's been over a year, what happened? I've had my 2005 Tbird (90,000 miles) in the shop for over 5 months waiting to see if anyone can repair the PCM for which there are no replacement parts in the country.
