Not equipped with CKP sensor... Do you have battery voltage at the ign coil primary terminal, key on?
have u checked the crank sensor?
ive been asked that countless times but when i try to find it to see where its at and how much its going to cost i cant find it on this as i have the base engine 3.1
that im rather stupid on i had a friend come over that knew more than me and ran some checks and dumbed it down to im not getting a heartbeat the signal to fire but everything else he said checked out
Replace distributor 'assembly'..... The distributor is what makes that single ignition coil produce spark!!!! The coil can't do a damn thing until the distributor tells it to!!! IF you don't understand, find a MECHANIC and get some hands-on help!!!
if no fire to coil or even from coil to distributor what is the idea behind changing the distrib
The distributor 'IS' what tell's the coil to fire..... Basic ignition systems 101.... That's all I got for you!!!!!
ok so if the computer controls the electronic spark control module that sends a signal to the coil which then sends the signal to the distributor but is not happening at this time the distributor is still the issue i dont have a coil pack i have a single coil that sends the signal to the distributor!!!!!.....so replacing something after the dead spot will give me back the signal
Nope you do not understand... Read all post again!... Now you do whatever you please here!.. It's just advice, but with 40+ years of auto repair backing it up!!!
no i dont understand that is why im asking questions trying to understand i guess im just not seeing how the distrib which is located after the coil that im not getting spark from has anything to do with it because i have the coil then a 7 connection distrib cap with the coil leading to the middle....so no i donot understand
