2007 Hyundai Azera ESC and check engine light on together. Car won't accelerate

I have a 2007 Hyundai Azera Limited. The car was running fine until one night. Next morning all of a sudden it jerked when I tried to turn ignition on and it shut off. When I tried turning ignition on again, car started but engine sound was abnormal and both check engine light and ESC light came on. When I tried to move ahead after shifting gear to drive, the car will not accelerate over 20 mph. Tried turning car off and on again (atleast 4 times). Did not help. Flooring the accelerator pedal does not help. Please advice on what could be the issue. All help appreciated. Thanks.
