Q: 2006 Pontiac Solstice, keep having to add coolant on 2006 Pontiac Solstice

Rookie cbe0621eac06868b3efe0d8d1d3611e23c60d3114864ea2ec19a68cfbd3eebab
My add coolant light keeps coming on. Other than having a leak in the radiator what could cause this? The light goes off after adding coolant then a few days later comes back on. I did notice a liquid under the car once but, I thought it was just condensation from the a/c
Any suggestions?

Agreed .. probably your water pump. I literally had this issue for probably 2 years... pressure tests etc done and no diagnosis. My coolant would literally "burp" out... all spilling at one time. Finally I was dragging dexcool around with me and was sure it could finally be diagnosed... and it was! Dealer wanted about $800+ to replace.. I found a very good transmission place to replace the water pump and a whole bunch of 100,000 mi maintenance items for about $900 total.
I have a 2008 Solstice and have the exact same issue. As it turns out your problem is the water pump. The leaking after the car sits is just the first signs of a problem. It will take around 5 hours to replace at your dealer. It should run for some time before completely failing.
