What is your question?
I have replaced the fuel pump and since then the car shuts down while driving. Received 3 errors on the dash, ABS service required, Immobilizer Check and Alarm system service required.. Any idea what this problem could be, car drives and runs smooth, seems to shut down when it get hot or driving for 10mins
How long has your 2000 Volvo S80 had this problem?
Afew days

Hello, It sounds like unintentional grounding to the chassis during the fuel pump repair. If the battery was disconnected and reconnected improperly, or if it was left connected during the replacement of the fuel pump, there easily could be damage to various electronic components on the vehicle. That would include wiring harnesses and fuses as well. When the vehicle dies when getting hot, a great place to start looking is the main relay. If heat expansion causes the relay to open, the engine will shut off right away, and cooling down will be needed before it will restart. Immobilizer and alarm systems will prevent the car from starting, but will not cause the car to stop running when already running in gear. However, you should have these checked out so you don't end up stuck with a car that won't start at the grocery store or work, etc..
Hi thank you for your response, I took the vehicle for a scan and picked up two codes. 1. ECM - 911A 2. ECM - 903C If I am correct that has to do with the Throttle components.?? I have tested the throttle body and it seems to be responding properly. At the same time I'm thinking MAF sensor!! If I disconnect it from the Airbox and smother it with my hand the vehicle seems to start until I take my hand away. Could it be the MAF then?
