1988 failing fuel system pressure check

(1990 Mazda B2200)

found the part that's leaking - attached to frame over gas tank with vacuum like lines going to it (mechanic says it's not actually vacuum) - plastic valve, mechanic is not sure what it's called. what is the part?? i know i could replace it if i could find one

sounds like you may be taking about the fuel tank pressure sensor. Or purge solenoid. Try you local auto parts store for part , have them pull up the picture of the part on there computer. You can look to be sure.

hey i have a b2200 mazda pickup with running rich problems. the part you are talking about is a check and cut valve part of evap system, i think its function is to cut fuel when truck rolls over, but not sure.I broke my valve while removing fuel tank, but didnt replace it.I think its a junkyard item maybe dealer item dont know. If it effect runnability of truck, i would like to know , so i can get one please email back to rodneystory@yahoo.com thanks a bunch.
