2005 Dodge NeonReura, Lewes, DE, January 31, 2010 00:18I've had this car since November 2007 and I've put a good 50k miles on it since I bought it at 42k miles. Just before 80,000 she wouldn't start one morning, had to be towed to my mechanic who couldn't fix it, took it to the dealer and it would up being an issue with the anti theft sensor that receives a signal from the chip in the key, it wasn't recognising it. Saved $800 by having it be covered under the 80k warranty. Just hit 90k and started having the check engine light come on. Not sure what the issue is, but my mechanic says it will be around $1400 to fix, ouch. I also had the same problem with water leaking into the car, but mine was in the rear drivers side floor in the back seat and in the bottom of the trunk. Havent gotten it fixed but I also say it should be a recall issue.EnthusiastFlag ThisLike0

2005 Dodge Neonbettyeduhon, Biloxi, MS, October 09, 2008 15:13I have enjoyed my Neon since I bought it new in 2005. The 2 main complaints I have are that the brakes squeal from time to time and I was told that this is normal; and, when there is a heavy rain water puddles inside the passenger front floor. I was told by the dealer repair manager that this is caused from the tail light seals wearing out. He said that water seeps in and follows a channel into the front passenger floor. The repair cost was high and I did not choose to have it done, because I thought it should not have happened to begin with or at the very least, it should have been a recall to have been repaired at no cost.EnthusiastFlag ThisLike | 6 people like this6
