Would a blown fuse cause the radio from working?

Yes, a blown fuse related to the audio system would prevent the radio from working. I don't know why a fuse would blow under hat circumstance though. Can't imagine any power surge or circuit issue in that case. Perhaps there's more to the story, an audio unit modification, a vehicle electrical system modification, some kind of jump start or other power surge...?
