Will replacing the leaking intake manifold help increase the acceleration/ leaks

Had no leaks, less than 76,500 miles on this van with bubble top. After mechanic fixed the exhaust manifold the leak free van leaked what looks like oil and mechanic says it has to do with the intake manifold. Was disappointed due to valve gaskets, exhaust manifold, catalytic converter rated for 50 states, new Jaspertransmission, spark plugs/wires all replaced.
