why is my 840ci failing to start

What is your question?

when i try to crank my 840ci it stalls there is gas in the tank when i hit the bottom of the tank it had started but then i turned it off it started stalling a again, starter fluid was used, still not cranking could it be my fuel pump if so which one and are there two fuel pumps on this car

to start and run, the engine must have fuel, fire (spark) and compression. fuel pump is just a wild guess. this issue needs diagnosis, not guessing.
