Why does the alternator belt make a screeching sound when first cranked?

(1991 Hyundai Excel)
The screeching sounds occurs when I first crank the car in the mornings and does not make this sound once the car is warmed up. I just had the belt replaced a month ago. Please advise.

The belt is probably not tight enough or it has been contaminated with oil or coolant. Take it back to the guy who installed it and give him a chance to make it good or tell you what's wrong if it's not the belt.
