What is your question?
When I even slightly turn my steering wheel when I start my car, it makes a terrible loud grinding noise. After I let it idle for 25-30 min. it stops. The car was serviced 2 months ago and steering wheel fluid was added. Is it the cold weather? It's never happened before though.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Very bad when I start the car. Better after idling 25-30 min.
How long has your 2008 Mercedes-Benz GL450 had this problem?

Hello, steering noise like a "grinding" can be an indication of low fluid level, air inside the steering system, or internal steering pump wear causing noise. Since the noise dissipates as the car warms, it seems like an aeration symptom. Circulating your steering wheel all the way to the left, then back all the way to the right a few times can help purge any air in the system. However, if the problem does not resolve, you should have this inspected by a local repair shop.
