Why does my '08 Sante Fe have such dark, thick oil?

Oil is typically pretty dark after about 3,000 miles. That doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it but there are some things you can look over to make sure your oil stays clean. Make sure you replace the oil filter every time and make sure the air filter is clean. You need to check that your pcv system is working too.
