I bought certified used 2017 Cadillac CT6 on Halloween 2020. Noticed for the past three nights that external lights turn on and off throughout evening. Manual indicated owner could, and I did, turn external light to off position on left signal arm control. Manual suggested it would automatically return to auto position, which action was confirmed via looking in through side door glass. Still noticed lights flash on/ off.
Details of possible consequence: I live in small In-Law Suite aka Garage apartment. Car is basically parked 3-4 feet from front door with headlights shining into exterior apartment door window. Considered backing into spot but fear I will not notice perpetual lighting. Prefer to diagnose/ correct/ repair issue over draining battery that manual only says will automatically turn off interior lights. Or worse, prevent other taxing effect on electric system.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Only owned four days so unsure if an exacerbation metric exists
