White Smoke

What is your question?

With out warning my truck overheated yesterday when we stopped to put water in it it was empty, after filling it it wouldnt start after jumping it it finally started then it just started blowing white smoke as long as i get on it it will clear up but at idol it just rolls and it still overheats quickly is this a head gasket or the EGR??

sounds like a head gasket Roy

Thats what we were thinking do you have to pull the cab of to do this job and do i need to replace the head bolts too?

yep to both the cab out of the way is good or just pull the motor out. head bolts are required as they are torque to yield bolts. Roy

Probably is a head gasket. Install studs if you have it fixed. COULD be the EGR cooler is busted, but wouldn't explain the no start.
