Where is blend door actuator on 1998 ram 1500?

Hello, The electronic blend door actuator is located left of the blower motor on the bottom of the HVAC central housing unit (big black box under passenger side dash). You'll see the blower motor housing next the the kick panel, then moving towards the driver side there is a big hump where the evaporator sits, then the dip where the heater core sits, then the actuator. You may have to remove the kick panels on the left side of the passenger front footwell for access. See if it works when you disconnect it, and make sure the coupler that it connects to has not come apart. Also, rotate the blend door by hand to make certain it has not been destroyed. Here is the kicker: 1998 was the first year they used it, and not all of them have it. If yours does not use one, you have a cable operated blend door. If this is the case, you probably just realized where it is.
