What is your question?
When I turn left or right either reversing or drawing straight at slow speeds I hear a thumping sound coming from my tires. It really only happens when it rains. Also these tires have about half tread left but they are stock tires so about 7 years old. It’s been quite consistent also sometimes goes away for awhile and then comes back it’s very strange. Took it to a mechanic they didn’t see anything just told me to keep an eye on it

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your IS350. A thumping sound at slow speeds, especially when reversing or turning, could indicate an issue with tire wear or flat spots. Flat spots can develop over time, making the tires "thump" as they rotate. Replacing your tires may resolve these noises, so you might consider installing new tires for safety and smoother operation. It is also possible that the noise is coming from something other than your tires, such as a loose splash shield or fender liner making contact with the tire. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
