Wheel noises when turning.

(2005 Scion tC)
in Floyd, VA on December 11, 2011
Continuing problem. Was bad on front. Fixed when replaced wheel bearings and lubed everything around wheels that had moving parts. Front bearings fell apart when wheel taken off. Only noisy when turning or when hitting bumps. Had it to 3 mechanics. Have also changed tires, rotated tires, put nitrogen in tires. Front tires noisy and wear a feathered shape on tread that causes more road noise. For a while it showed tire pressure was low, but was not. That is OK now. Now noise is on rear wheels. It is my wife's car.

The tire must cousing the noise. The feathered condition usually caused by bad shock absorber (front struts) or other bad suspension parts like bushings or ball joint etc.If the problem is not fixed on front the good tire will be noise too.
