What is the approximate cost to repair an air conditioner that is leaking freon

hi Pep boys quoted me $750. Dryer and compressor. No quote on hoses. If compressor is ok then it should be less to replace hoses. Evaporator leak would be more$. Condenser cost ?... They diagnosed my system had a different problem. They did no repairs and no charge for test. The ac works fine when the car is moving. COLD air but ac clutch disengaged when car is stopped.no codes are shown. Your leaks could be hoses or compressor shaft seals. Replace compressor. Need sys leak check really
